Hi – I’m looking for someone to join me at my place. It’s a two story row home. It’s furnished if you want it to be. Send me a text or email if you’re interested, and please include some information about yourself (maybe a linkedin or something – I know, that’s so DC). We can find a time for you to come see the place, and can FaceTime beforehand.
Here are some details:
“Dear PoPville,
Behold, the 1300 block of 14th Street NW, which was under construction for more than a year and included lots of utility excavation. It was recently repaved, as the multi-million-dollar project is coming to and end.
And yet: a contractor has already dug up the road. Don’t these guys coordinate? Why is DDOT apparently rubber-stamping permits? What a waste of tax dollars and resources.”
Another reader echoes the sentiment: “Is there a timeline or estimated completion date for the road work that has been going on for months at 14th and R NW? I’ve lived above it since August and they’ve been opening new holes in the street about every other week. Now again this morning.”
Let’s be honest — car ownership is a hassle.
No one likes haggling with dealers or wasting hours waiting on the finance guy. Then once you FINALLY have the keys, the value of your car plummets the second you drive it off the lot (20% on average, ouch!). And once you put a few miles on your new wheels, you have to deal with maintenance and insurance, continuing the expensive inconvenience. Leasing isn’t much better either, as you still have the same issues, only with mileage restrictions.
Imagine skipping all of those hassles, and on top of that, having the freedom to access an entire fleet of the latest, most tech-forward hybrid and electric cars.
Look no further, Steer is here.
